Dr. Vonk joined NCH in 1989. He graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Vonk is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow with the American College of Cardiology. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine.
